| Artist Statement
My work is an attempt to combine the principles of Complexity Theory, Meme Theory, Information Theory, and Gestalt Psychology with abstract painting. It is a search for the balance between order and chaos, and the powerful world that exists at that edge. It is also an attempt to understand the nature of being an adopted person in this society: having one set of genetic impulses, and another set of environmental rules, and how to balance these forces which are more often than not at odds with each other.
